Holy Basil (Tulsi or Tulasi) is one of the most revered plants in India. In Ayurveda, it is often said to be the Elixir of Life. A sacred plant in India, Tulsi means "the incomparable one" in Sanskrit. In Ayurvedic tradition, Tulsi is used to support the normal respiratory function and any respiratory problem, as well as promoting overall good health and longevity. The herb is an antioxidant and contains Vitamin C, which can be helpful in lowering stress levels.

Make a decoction in boiling water (similar to making tea) with 1-2 teaspoons of powder. Honey/palm sugar and lemon can be added for taste. It's best when consumed twice a day. Holy Basil can also be taken with room temperature water and consumed twice daily, if preferred.
