Enjoy dosa with a healthy twist. With Ragi Dosa Mix, you can whip up crispy and savory South Indian dosas/pancakes made with Ragi (also known as Finger Millet or Nachani), Urad Dal (Black Gram) and rice. Ragi is a rich source of calcium, iron, protein and fibre. Urad Dal can help boost energy and improve digestion.
This Mix will make approximately 20 dosas.
Ragi, Black gram (Urad Dal), Fenugreek Seeds (Methi), Rice, Cumin Seeds, and Curry Leaves.
Mix 1 measure of Ragi Dosa Mix with 1 measure of water, a ½ measure of curd (optional) and salt to form a smooth batter. Keep the batter aside for 30 minutes. Heat a flat pan on medium flame and grease it with little oil. Spread 1 tbsp of the batter on the pan in sweeping circular motions to form a dosa/pancake. Drizzle and spread some oil over the surface and the edges of the dosa/pancake. When the surface looks cooked (not soft or runny), flip it and cook the other side for about a minute. Fold the dosa into half and serve hot with coconut/tomato chutney, sambar or pickle.
Tasty Tip: For extra flavor, you can add grated coconut, chopped vegetables, coriander or curry leaves.
